Diabetes is the result of a body that is not able to produce insulin or has a reduced sensitivity to it. Insulin is essential because it allows cells to absorb blood sugar. You’d get energy here.
When your body cannot absorb sugar, it remains in your blood. This can cause damage in many different areas if it is done for a long time. The feet are one of them. Untreated, this condition could lead to an amputation.

Diabetes on the foot can cause two common problems:
1. Diabetic Neuropathy – Uncontrolled diabetes can cause nerve damage. You cannot feel heat or cold when there is nerve damage in the legs and feet. Sensory diabetic neuropathy is the lack of sensation in your feet due to damaged nerves. Your foot may not feel any injuries or cuts, but it can worsen over time and become infected. It could be that the muscles are not working properly and putting a lot of pressure on one area of your foot.
2. Diabetes can cause peripheral vascular disease. Without blood flow, a cut or sore will take longer to heal. It also increases your risk of getting ulcers or gangrene. Peripheral vascular disease is the name given to this poor blood flow.
